My is Tom Perkins, I’m 23 and I’m a Projectionist from Leeds, UK. This website is run by a one-man-band, me and while that may seem like a big task for one person I thoroughly enjoy it because to put it simply, I love film! In fact back in 2008 I started a little YouTube show called FilmXTRA where I would talk about the latest movie news, trailers and my reviews on the latest cinema releases.

Since then FilmXTRA has gained quite a following for being mainly a movie review show. Now just to give you an idea into how I review films, I go about them a little differently. While I still end my reviews in a 5 star rating system, the rating stands more for my overall enjoyment of the film rather than just taking into account why its enjoyable.

Finally just to get the question I get asked the most out of the way. My favourite film is The Matrix and my favourite directors are Martin Scorsese and David Fincher.
